Learning type

After taking the Memletic Learning Style test, I discovered that I am mostly a social learner and physical learner. This does not come as a surprise to me as I have always love working with others compared to working independently. Doing this test allowed me to focus on myself as a learner and reflect on how I best learn. It will be helpful for the duration of my university learning as I now know what way I will achieve maximum results from my work.

Even when I was a child and wanted to play I would always want to play with someone, e.g. my sister, and when she did not want to play with me I didn't know what to do with myself. Even now, I would rather have company that reflect on my own thoughts alone. I was not surprised to discover that my logical learning score was so low as I hate doing puzzles and figuring out how to solve a problem.

When I am a learning manager I believe that I will get my students to complete a similar test to determine each students learning style. As there is a number of student is a class (lets say 23) there would be a large range of different learning styles in different combinations. This explains the colourful differences between students and how some students clash. As a class project students could work together in finding out their learning style compared to their friend and discover how they are different and how they are similar.

I hope you find this interesting, I look forward to hearing from you all.

Functionality of a blog

Hello fellow bloggers,

Whilst deciding on how to write a blog and how to word it, I had a light bulb moment and remembered seeing people blog in movies. It was basically just them journalling their progress/ stories online. For example in the movie Julie and Julia, Julie was cooking her way through a famous cookbook and decided to share her progress and what she was learning with the world of online bloggers. She just wrote down what she was feeling, learning and how she overcame her mistakes and I feel that this is an appropriate way to blog, using the Internet as an online diary. Other blogs can be more professional and contain knowledge on any subject or idea.

As I am new to the blogging world and this is my first ever post I am sure that with time I will learn to utilise the Internet better and learn different ways of managing E- learning.

Ta Elise :)
