Lights, Camera, Action: Movie Maker

I have already used movie maker to assist me in other assignments so playing around with it a second time was enlightening as I was more farmiliar with the tool and understood the concept. I love movie maker because it is simple to use, there is no need to download a program to use it, all the data you need to create your movie is stored on your computer.

I think movie maker is wonderful way to put together a collection of the years photos and play it for the students at the end of the year as a video montage. Students could also use movie maker to assist them in an assessment piece.

Here is a movie of my recent trip to the USA.

  1. Hey Elise,

I love your idea of using movie maker to create a video montage. It reminded me of a day at school when all of the students parents came in and were shown a movie that contained video footage and photos of what the students had been doing throughout the year. It was a huge success!

  2. Hi Elise,

A montage would be an excellent idea within the classroom to gather and present a story, for example an excursion. I know students in my Year 3 class last year went to Maleny Dairies and they used Microsoft Publisher to produce a poster depicting everything they saw at the dairy. However, moviemaker would have been an excellent alternative.

I'm glad to see that it was used in Ashleigh's classroom and was successful!
